If I'm not mistaken, the sensor on the front grill comes with the Driving Assistant Pro package, which only seems to be available for the Competition model, because I was not able to select it when I configured my base M3 (which has finally arrived ).

Can anyone confirm?

You are correct. You can't get driving assist pro on the manuals.
