Track My BMW Question

Hi All,

How long does it typically take for track my BMW to update?

I used the tool to track my RAM recall, it shows closed as of yesterday. Today the BMW site still shows the same "At the port".

Trying to get an idea of when this M4 might end up on a truck and head to my dealership. I spoke with my dealership yesterday and they had no idea the fix was closed, it still showed open on their end.

Thanks!

It was about 2.5 days for mine to update in transit to the dealership. Guess we aren't on the same truck to Phoenix?

BMW track my is pretty real-time. I feel like you're asking a different question though. Are you asking how long it takes to get on a truck once your car is fixed? If so, it varies. They wait until they can fill up a truck, as it's wasteful to have the truck half empty. Large volume dealerships have a quicker turnaround than a lower volume one.

So…anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks.

I was hoping but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

That makes sense, I’m assuming the trucks are filling pretty quickly.
My dealer had 2 trucks arrive yesterday before 3p.

I’m located in Phoenix.

Status just changed to closed in the tool yesterday. So I’m sure I’ll move along on the track website in the next day or so. Looking like early next week 🤞🏻

Mine closed on Thursday and went in transit the following Monday.

Yeah, you're getting close! I remember when I refreshed the tool and saw my stop sales were closed, it was an exciting moment for sure.

Bummer. I'm sure yours will be leaving soon enough though.

My stop sale closed midday Thursday, and it's still showing "at the port" on the My BMW site. That said, I have a confirmed PCD date, so I'm not complaining! I'll edit this post once the status flips to 'in transit' or 'at the dealership' (whichever is next, when it's all in Greer).

Not so far! My car still shows in transit and my CA has not informed me that it has been delivered yet. Never expected this part of the process to take this long considering the port is a 7hr drive from here…

Same. My car has been "in transit" all day, and the VPC is 12 miles from my dealer. Such agony.

Strange!

Guess these are loading these and perhaps they aren't filling the trucks up right away to leave? Would have thought within a couple of hours of switching to in transit the trucks would be on their way to their destination(s).

That's wild, I thought for sure you'd see your car arrive by now. Especially with my dealer saying they had 2 trucks arrive the other day.

Transporters make Sunday (and overnight) deliveries all the time. So if you’re anxious to see your car ‘in the metal’ (as I would be), and your dealer’s nearby; there’s your excuse to get out of the house for a latte. Just sayin’!

That was quick from "closed" to a PCD date. How far out is your date?

You are correct. Sometimes they drop cars off at a dealer at 2am in the morning. The sales guys get there the next day and lo and behold 20 new cars ready to sell are there.

I've been checking first the in the morning each day so far to see if I've switched to At The Dealership and so far no luck. Even though the dealership is closed today I'm hoping for it to be delivered so they can get working on it on Monday morning. Thinking that would still put me at a Tuesday evening delivery timeframe though.

Still puzzled by the fact that the port is 7hrs from here and it's been in transit since Friday around 11am PT. 🤷🏻

You only check once a day? There’s something seriously wrong with you.
