This is my first BMW, picked the car up this past Saturday, this was an in stock vehicle, the only xDrive M3 available (one RWD Comp was also available) so I didn't have to play the waiting game, obviously that has its short comings. I specifically wanted the xDrive as I'll be using this car as my year round vehicle.

The car is Alpine White with the Ultimate package and black interior, no carbon interior, sunroof and bucket seats. Ideally if I was ordering I'd get Isle of Man Green with Tartufo Full Merino leather. In the current spec I wish the dealer had kept the carbon roof instead of getting the sunroof and optioned the carbon interior as well as included the Advanced Driver assistance package which for whatever reason isn't included in the Ultimate package.

Loving the car so far, got a set of winter wheels and tires already mounted. All the controls are intuitive and the quality is top notch, the only thing I have to figure out is why my car doesn't have the BMW Drive Recorder. As far as I can tell it should've been included in the Ultimate Package but I can't find it on my apps page.

Either way I'm looking forward to being part of the group and I hope all of you who are waiting on your vehicles see them sooner rather then later.

I wouldn't worry too much about the sun roof, I really like the light they bring in and the air on a nice day. You can always wrap the roof black if You wanted to clean up the look a bit.

I bought a car that was in stock too. Given what is going on with the shortages, for me it was nice to just have something to enjoy now and during this past summer rather than wait around

I saw a white one with the roof wrapped in Carbon Fiber with sunroof - I thought it looked good. That's my plan as of now....
