Playing Video from USB

Folks,

In my old 5 series I could play DVDs. Now having an iX3 without DVD drive I'm wondering how I can play Films etc. (probably quite useful whilst waiting for a charge to complete)

I've tried putting an .MP4, .MKV and .AVI on a USB stick. Whilst the iX3 recognises it as video media it doesn't play any of the files. The goes screen blank(black) apart from a blue play logo right of centre (i need to get a photo of this).

Any thoughts anyone? Has anyone got videos playing in their iX3, other than the pre-loaded ones.

Need to enabled the extra code s, it's a bit of a hack you have to do. Honestly though do yourself a favor, turn on android auto and just use carplay or fermata.. YouTube/plex/netflix etc.
