Very often if I hit a hard bump the radio either shuts off and I can turn it right back on OR the steering wheel and center console control knob and buttons stop working. I can still operate the radio, but ONLY from the actual radio buttons. The only fix is to turn off the car, lock it up and leave it alone for a while. Turning off the car, locking etc. for a few minutes does not fix it.

Not sure what to troubleshoot. Any ideas? I did swap CCC to CIC and added one of those nav. hack modules well over a year ago, but this is a new problem.

The first obvious thing to do when you have something that
is effected by Bumps is to check and reseat all connections.
You might try wiggling the connections where possible when
things are operational.

Also as always before you work on these cars make sure you have
a fully charged good battery.
