Yep, I went ahead and did it...
So - I have been pondering trading my 2020 X5, for many reasons. I have quite a few mods, full PPF, etc. and only 5,124 miles on the clock.
After a lot of research, test drives, etc...I just can't find anything I like as much or more. I really wanted a lower car for my handicapped Dobies, but that means a wagon...and i'm not a Suburu guy, and the Volvos/A6 Allroads are either underpowered or overpriced or both. So I just bought mine out of the lease. My payoff was only 55k, and really - where could I get a car like mine with 5k on it for that price? Very glad I did. Got a really good rate as well - so the payment dropped as a bonus. And seeing the LCI spy shots made me feel good about it, as well. Until everything levels out - I find it comforting to know I have a car I actually love in the garage.

In the current market, buying out your lease is the best deal you can get. If you like the car, it's a smart move.

Putting full PPF on a lease car? Not the best choice financially. Putting only 5k miles on a lease car? Not the best choice financially. Buying out the lease? Makes up for the first two. You are headed in the right direction! Congratulations on YOUR new car. |
