German ADAC names the iX3 as best car of 2021
ADAC Autotest 2021: The best and worst cars of the year
The ADAC 2021 tested 112 vehicles - with conventional and alternative drives. In the test: 39 petrol, 26 diesel, 24 hybrid, 2 natural gas and 21 electric cars Best car: the electric SUV BMW iX3 Congratulations to Munich: Of all the vehicles tested at the ADAC in 2021, the BMW iX3 performed best. And summa cum laude with an outstanding 1.7 as an overall mark - in the last five years there has not been a car with a better rating. But why an SUV of all things and a purely electrically powered one at that? Almost no weaknesses: BMW iX3 best in the test Quite simply: The iX3, which is based on the "normal" X3 with a combustion engine, has all the advantages of its sister model that also make it a good car. Lots of space, high driving comfort, good driving characteristics and a high level of safety were practically written in the family book. In addition, the electric version - and that should surprise many SUV critics - its economical drive. In the ADAC Ecotest, which all cars with all types of drive have to undergo equally, the iX3 had an average consumption of 21.2 kWh per 100 kilometers. The charging losses that occur are already taken into account here. That's really good value for a car of this size. Because the range of 400 kilometers in the test was anything but meager, there are hardly any restrictions with the electric iX3 in everyday life, especially since its battery can be filled from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes thanks to a charging capacity of up to 150 kW at a corresponding quick charging station leaves. There has been an enormous improvement in e-cars in recent years. The only catch: As a towing vehicle, the iX3 with a trailer load of 750 kilos is not as good as a combustion engine. https://www.adac.de/rund-ums-fahrzeu..._tarnjyhb4y3Jo |
