IX 50 Wheels (powder coating)
hi All, I have received (finally) some good news from my dealership (in Belgium). Preorderd a IX50 Msport and expected assembly week is week 11. So I am looking forward to the reception of my car!!
I have orderd the 22 rims underneath. However, I was wondering if a part of the rims are plastic or not. Why? I want my rims to be full black and I am considering a 3 layer powder coating... (IX3 rims are partially plastic I have learned) |

Thanks. That sounds like something BMW would do for marketing. In the US you can select a Sport package but the vehicle remains an iX xDrive50.

In the NZ market we don't even get a choice, but then our models come pretty well equipped as standard (all available driver aids, massage seats, leather etc).

I had a similar question regarding PPF and ceramic coating on the car. Have them on my X5s and they have protected the finish and factory-new look on both cars. But looking at production videos, it looked like the painting process was slightly different on the iX, and I'm not sure which exterior panels are what, although I assume you can wrap or apply PPF just like any BMW.
