Stuck at quality check

My car has been in quality check for 2 weeks.. Anyone know what are the common reasons for stuck at quality check? Thanks!

2-3 weeks is average wait I would say. I would call BMW genius if I were you and they can tell you what the hold up is. For me, it was an audio component.

Just under 4 weeks now for mine. Both the Genius and my CA recently informed me they are waiting on a part (don't know any more than that).

I had called them and all they could say is its a part on backorder. Anyone try calling the factory?

This is the norm. Welcome to the chip shortage. Don't get mad when it sits at the port for a couple weeks. Just trying to set you expectations.

In QC since 1/8/22. BMW Genius can provide no information, and refers the inquirer to the dealer. Per dealer, delay is due to "parts shortages".

I suspect that lightly optioned builds move through the factory more rapidly than those which include "active cruise control & stop and go function", parking assistance package, H&K radio.

I assumed so too, must have been super lucky. Mine flew through production with all options and no delays. Fingers crossed on delivery!

4 weeks in QC so far for me. I ordered ACC but not HK. I was told by my SA that HK wasn't available at the time I ordered.

Honestly, I'm okay with a delay because its winter here. I would be happy with a mid-march delivery. I don't think thats an unrealistic expectation at this point.

Wondering when you ordered, mine was ordered 12/1/22 with HK and not ACC. It spent just a day or so at QC and then had a 10 day holdup at VDC for audio module. It was delivered to dealer 2 months after order, guess i just got lucky, hope you get yours soon.

Only add-ons were as follows:

* Black Leather w/Contrast Stitching (Lumbar Support)
* Universal Garage Door Opener
* Heated Front Seats and Steering Wheel

I finally moved out of QC after being stuck since 1/8. I'm in final assembly on my garage. But my CA said that its been dispatched.
