DSLR bags
What kind of bags/ cases do you guys carry your dslr in? I have a 40d and I bought a lowerpro rezo 170 from bestbuy but from my recent trip back home and having to deal with luggage, I might reconsider getting a midsized backpack or of some sort... I was thinking maybe something I can also put my 15 inch MBP in also. Suggestions?
This is what I have now. |

i have been using the lowepro slingshot 200... excellent bag and easy access to the camera on the fly.
found mine on Amazon for $79.99 but they usually go for about $100. I also have a Tamrac System 6 (5606) full over the shoulder bag. I usually only use it when need a 2nd bag and have more than the slingshot will carry, which isn't very often. |

I've been looking at the kata D-467 for about a good hour now.. I think I'm going to return my lowerpro camera bag tomorrow and order this
IMHO this is a very attractive bag, it doesnt give off that "hey this is my camera bag that has thousands of dollars of equipment, please steal me" My only dilemma is should I get the black on black or black with the red accents. Adorama has it for $79 |

Don't like backpacks for camera bags, you have to rip to much stuff out all the tine to get to things, plus it all rolls round to much in the bag!

I think I read that you can detach this one that would fix your problem.. this bag would be perfect for me because really the only time I need a bag is when im transporting it (traveling) or keeping it nice and safe in my room. And this is better because I can fit both my laptop and my camera and other small stuff in here when I fly, minimizing luggage. Im going to stop by Adorama tomorrow after school, I'll write up a quick first impression/ review if I end up buying it which I most likely will.

Man, I had a backpack on with my camera gear in it when I was on holidays in South Africa a few years back. Walking around the city streets with people everywhere, they (locals) just unzip it while I was walking around and tried grab what was inside the bag. If it had not been for the group of people behind these locals yelling out to me I would have not realised they had even unziped the bag.
Suppose backpacks are ok in the right place and they are made better these days! but after that holiday I just don't like them anymore, the only time I use one now is for bush walking!
