DAY 2:
Hey everyone. So far I'm loving the car. I have only put about 50 miles on it since yesterday morning but I love the driving characteristics of the car. I don't really have a problem with the EPS. There is some feedback and I have great confidence turning in with speed. Some people may be super critical but, this is a daily, not a track car. In my opinion, I still find the steering enjoyable. This thing is quick! I haven't pushed the car too much for now, but the occasional highway merge satisfies my butt dyno. Speaking of driving on the highway, I am pleased with the ride quality. I am also very happy with the amount of driver and front passenger room...I am a fairly large man and I'm quite comfortable. Here are some photos to enjoy. I'll update this post as mods and more drive time allow! Thanks! Taking delivery of my new M240i on Friday. Ordered late November, in production 12/17. I had the dealer install the carbon rear spoiler and BMS 13mm spacers on all four corners. I have a slight history with BMW. On top of working at this dealer for 7 years, 1 as a genius, 3 as a client advisor, and 3 as the Service Manager, I have also owned a handful of BMW cars. I have mostly come from the e30 world having around 13 or so over my life but also have had a couple others here and there, including my wife's 2020 540i. I am very happy with modern BMW tech and don't hate the styling on the g42. I'll have more photos and driving impressions over the next couple weeks. Enjoy! |

The spoiler looks great on that car. Would you mind explaining the intent behind adding the spacers? And what are the pros and cons of adding them? Thank you! |

Thanks! For me, the spacers are just purely for appearance. They would in theory widen the track but the handling gain on something like that wouldn't been noticeable.

Awesome spec! I been waiting since November and hope we get an allocation this month ( I'm a ca) I'm thinking about changing order to the tire and cooling pckg. I already have bms 13mm and 15 mm spacers. I just wonder if the 15mm in the back will be fine

Love the color combo and build, congrats on the new ride!
I am a big fan of the carbon spoiler for this car as well, and feel like it really improves the symmetry of the rear of the car imo…. On my to do list as well.

Congratulations.
I've got the same spec, except for blue calipers. I really dig the spoiler on yours, adds some pop and balance to the backside. I only had the HP wheelset on for 24 hrs before I switched to winter wheels. I was a little underwhelmed by the appearence of the ZTK wheelset. Might consider the spacers when they go on in April, before I contemplate ANOTHER wheelset.

Does anyone else hate that the BMW Perf trunk lip gets rid of the "csl" bump on the factory trunk design? I would love to see a more exaggerated "high kick" version of the stock m240 one imo.
