Auxiliary Water Pump N55

Recently received a CD9003 - "electric coolant pump 2: missing" code. That code doesn't exist in the service manual and can't find any info online about the code. Dealer says replace the auxiliary water pump - not a mention of that word combination in the service manual either. I don't see any posts about replacing it on this forum for an N55 xdrive. Does anyone have any info on this part- how to replace, diagnose, etc ?

Correct. I can't say for sure that the issue is the auxiliary coolant pump.

However, the auxiliary coolant pump is located behind the passenger side front headlight. It's closer to the top of the engine bay rather than the bottom like the main coolant pump.

They're correct, for once. Replace the secondary aux pump, electric coolant pump 1 would be the main one on the bottom.

So I did replace the main pump at 51k because I got the same code (you can see my original post by searching that code) and the code went away. Thought it might be the main pump again with same code but only have 20k miles since it was replaced. Given the replies, I'll replace the aux pump and see if that addresses it - much cheaper, thanks everyone
