I guess as time goes by I've learned to wait for things. It's just gotten easier for me.

And speaking about Medicare, Social Security in particular, they just gave me a raise. Yay! (Extra benefits as a spouse)

This is so true. Years go by so quickly now. When I was a teenager time seemed to stand still. But I'm sure it's this way for everybody.

Indeed. As a youngster, including your teens, things are just different and maybe even a bit more carefree. Of course we grew up in different times and had different types of pressure. Dare I say things were a lot better back in the day? I can't imagine growing up in today's society. It all just feels so damn fake.

THIS! I know exactly what you mean. I almost get mad at myself for having such a short fuse if that makes sense. I guess I've grown to be a bit cranky as I age. It sucks.

I can't believe I'm approaching Medicare age. I just don't feel like I can possibly be this old.

I battled impatience as a kid, but more or less out grew it over the years, although I did learn to really hustle along at work. What has surprised me is that my impatience returned after I retired. Now I have to discipline myself while doing projects and hobbies so I don't rush and f-up the task.

As to Medicare, they will probably mail you the card without your permission. At least that is what happened to me.
