VTT Crankcase breather. oil turning milky

To begin, no my head gaskets not blown lol. I worried when I seen this, instantly drained the oil to find it perfectly clean from both the oil pan and OFH.

Now… I notice it appears that oil is leaking from the actual oil cap (the crank case breather) and dripping down past my injectors, onto the motor. You can see the wetness from around the crankcase breather and where it leaks. In this case it makes sense. Water vapour must be getting past the breather into the oil, creating the milkyness, all while oil leaks out.

Has anyone experienced this with the VTT crank case breather?

From what I read elsewhere, the so called Crank case breather from Very Terrible Turbos doesn't actually work.

I never understood why people insist on messing with the OEM PCV setups on these cars. As shown in this thread.....people cause more bad than good by tinkering with stuff.. As long as it's in good working order, the OEM BMW setup works great !

A new valve cover, OEM flapper valve, and RB PCV valve is all you need.....it works great.

Now if you are making 700+HP and 30psi boost....then it's time to start modifying the OEM PCV system.

Honestly man. Removed a regular working oil cap just to create problems lmao. Straight horse shit.

Like all VTT products. Shit.

Also, as said above a correctly functioning VC + rb pcv valve should be plenty for most.

You want to go all out, block the head ports, dual catch cans, add both low and high side vacuum, etc. but it costs a good deal and is not needed for 'most' people. How much you want to spend on your PCV system which likely works just fine is up to anyone. You don't have to 100% externalize it.

Good lord put a disclaimer up next time I got physically sick seeing this.

I would also ship this back to VTT, refund or not, in the exact condition you have it in now. Just because.

Amen.

Ask Tony if he still beats women while you are at it and why Chris defends him a simple google search will show his arrest record etc.

OP, put a time frame on your daily commute. Is it less than ~30min one way?

If so, the build up is normal. It becomes exacerbated by these caps.

I'm not one to defend VTT, but it's simple why this is happening. You're going to end up with more of this stuff with any kind of oil breather cap. The more cold air touches it, the more buildup you're going to get. This doesn't happen as badly with the stock cap because it has no breather element. Solution is to return the breather cap or start driving for longer periods.

Lmfao believe me, when I opened the oil cap, I basically shit myself. I was in shock. I was happy to see the oil drain nicely tho but man was this disgusting… I contacted them, let's see what they say

You could be right in that sense. Most of my drives are less than 10 minutes. At this point I'm just gonna run the original cap. The risk to reward ratio isn't there for me.

I'm maybe late to the party, but you checked that your oil filter housing gasket is not mixing coolant and oil?
....if its already been repaired, could be left over coolant from previous gasket failure
