So I’ve noticed with gesture control it absolutely will not work regardless of where my hand is or how slow/fast I go. Then, I’m in my car with gloves on one day and try it and it works perfectly! Take the gloves off, stops working. Put them back on, works fine. Any ideas?!

I actually have really large hands. Interior is KO extended. Skin is white but lots of tattoos. Such a weird issue. I actually want to call genius to see what they say

When I wore driving gloves it did not distinguish gestures.

I turned off gesture controls. Between the physical controls on the steering wheel and voice controls, I no longer see the value in gesture control.

It's a gimmick. When you accidentally select 'next track' in your audio book... you'll stop using it too.

It’s definitely not necessary, I agree. I honestly just am curious as to what’s going on. If I never use it again it’s no sweat off my back, I just want to know for curiosity’s sake.

It's interesting why it doesn't work, for you. I've completely deactivated mine, because I could even reach for a drink in the cup holder, without the radio going to mute.

Then, I'm sitting at traffic light, waving my hands around, like I'm casting a fucking spell on something in my center console, to get the radio to come on, when I finally give up, and just hit the VOL button to turn everything back on. It's such a pain in the ass.

Interesting point about the cup holder. I have a USB plugged into that port there. I’m going to try and unplug it and use gesture control once I’m back home again. Maybe it’s interfering some how with the sensor.
