Paint chip :( help
Very sadly, my garage door clipped my hood and there is a chip next to the BMW badge. I am planning to take it to the dealership to see what they can do but curious if anyone has advice. The chip is small but broke the clear coat and it’s new so I don’t want it to get bigger. Talk about devastating!!
Thanks for any advice you might have. |

Dealer will opt to paint the whole hood. I'd go the Dr. Color Chip route and cover with PPF which you should've had on there to begin with 🙂
Honestly the paint sucks on these cars. This is just beginning. Mark my words. |

Sorry for your experience. My car is a magnet for flying rocks and I have had PPF save me already few times from a pain chip. Definitely worth considering putting one on the front to also save from this kind of unfortunate things.

Agree the paint is abysmal. Sure it’s shiny but its very prone to chipping.
I’ve used https://www.automotivetouchup.com/. Good color match. Get some microdabbers too. You’re going to be using it a lot. Go check behind your wheels. |
