Factory Warranty Inspection?
My factory warranty on my 2018 X3 M40i will be expiring in September, and I’m thinking about what issues (if any) should be fixed before then. I just bought the car back in August, and I have never owned a car under factory warranty before. Do folks go to the dealer and get an inspection for things like that, or just go based on your own observations?
I have had a couple things fixed already, and I’m only aware of one issue (some flaking on one wheel), but I’m curious about any other underlying issues, especially with electronics. I do have a bootmod3 tune, so I’m also up against not wanting them to detect a previous tune if they plug in just to check stuff. Interested in any thoughts/advice. Thanks!

Most dealers wont typically just "inspect" a vehicle and make suggested repairs that are under warranty. You have to go in and present a claim for a issue, the dealer validates the issue and then makes the required repair and then bills BMW.

Only thing that I have had replaced under warranty outside of rear output shafts was the black trim under third brake light. It was turning purple.
