Coding 22' LCI
Hi guys,
Has anybody tried coding the 22' LCI with more serious coding than just bimmercode? Like coding exhaust valve functions and 2wd mode? Or any other coding? Also is the DME unlock only required for tuning?

For advanced coding like 2WD and some other functions you can do via esys with package datem replacements but I'd leave that to advanced coders and pay people to do it. Common easy ones are just - locks, mirrors, colored interior, sound equalizer, advanced menus Advanced ones are - RWD - antidazzle head lights, too tired to think of more, but you CANT open the valves via app on 22's yet. LAME. |

AHH! Thanks for all this info. Very useful. I made an appt with a coder in NYC next week. He stated he can code the exhaust "louder" and do the 2wd. I'll update everyone with the stuff he is able to do.

I’d be cautious. Coding should not impact your warranty but the X3 M was not meant to use 2WD only mode and this change is more than just simple coding. Last thing you want is to have an issue related to the AWD system and have BMW refuse to address under warranty.
