Earbuds
I’m looking for some Bluetooth earbuds that I can use for conference calls as well as listening to music occasionally. There are several on sale right now at BB for 80ish. I’ve seen some range up to 300 and I think that outrageously high for some earbuds. The two most important things is that I can clearly hear the other person and the other person can hear me clearly when I talk. What are y’all using?

I have a pair of the Apple earbuds. Nothing fancy, but they get the job done. To be candid, I received them as a gift and at the time did not expect to use them much. Now, I use them if I go into the office, walking the dog, traveling, etc. and really do enjoy them.

Have never heard of them. Have you ever owned any other brands like Bose, JBL or Apple for comparison? Those are the three I’m currently leaning towards. |

I have issues with every brand of the bluetooth earbuds. Airpods Pro, Jabra,... they work, but I have limited time on a call before they break up... it never fails -- re-pair, charge... nothing prevents it. After years of trying bluetooth, I've reverted to wired apple headphones for phone calls. They always work perfectly.
SonyWH-1000 - Noise-cancelling over the ears just for listening have been amazing. |

For work, I use a Plantronics 5200. People have no issues hearing me nor I them. Have used this headset for both virtual conferences and standard phone calls. The ambient noise cancellation with the mic is top notch. Have had discussions with pretty strong wind and the person on the other side couldn't tell. While the 5200 will handle music, it's nothing great especially since there is only one speaker for the headset.
For music, I use a B&W PI3. Sound is great if you can get a good seal with the in ear tips. I find the setup of the ear pieces pretty uncomfortable for the shape of my ear. I got different ear tips on Amazon to use with them and it helps. I've taken phone calls with this headset and haven't heard of any complaints with audio quality. As to Sennheiser, they're one of the leaders of quality headphones. They've been in the business of making headphones for a long time. Many of their headphones have earned top reviews from professional reviewers. I myself have one of the flagship wired ear buds with the SE535. |

My apple EarPods pro are cutting out. Just out of warranty. There was a firmware update and they haven't sounded right since. Unpairing and pairing fixes it for a minute but then it goes back to a static background noise to any music/calls. The bass also no longer exists since the update. Looking for a replacement. |

Do hearing aids with BT count? More expensive that the headphones you all are discussing, but not a lot of options given I already have hearing loss.
For Zoom sessions I’ve been using a so-so set of wired earbuds but I will probably go with headphones if the need picks up. Or just stream it to my hearing aids via Bluetooth. |

Assuming you have an iPhone...I had sony wf 1000mx3 and switched to airpods pro just bc the pairing between airpods and an iPhone is so much better. If you think about it you're pairing every single time you use them, and sony's were just not great (delays, drops, etc)...and like most things apple, the airpods arent top top notch of functionality but they just WORK. Eg, I wouldn't have popped in a Sony mid call and expected it to switch over immediately/reliably, with the airpods you get spoiled with that.
I was also very pleasantly surprised to find out the airpods pro transparency mode is better than the sony's - I can actually talk to someone without having to take out the airpod pros, unlike the sony's where the transparency was more just for awareness/safety but not good enough for convos. Not sure how much better the new gen sony 1000mx4s are. But I'm now too happy with the seamless pairing to go away from airpods. (I'm told that bc Beats are owned by Apple their pairing is very seamless too)

AirPods, I've had each gen. On 3 now and they're my favorite. I didn't like the gen 2s with the silicon tips - also barely ever needed the noise cancellation that came with them, but it did work well. Luckily our president loves AirPods and pushes for the use of them as most of our managers are quite active. So I'm on my 5th pair maybe. So with that said, every 6-8 months I usually experience a problem. Note that this is probably 3hrs of use per day and I also workout with them in the morning for like 1.5hrs. So they definitely go through some hard use.

Tried my nephew’s airpod pros and they fit very well, doesn’t slip at all when I ran back and forth, jumping around and shaking my head. Sound was pretty good so I just ordered them while they’re still on sale, I’m switching to an iPhone 13 in a few months as well and so it’s encouraging to hear they especially pair well with each other.
