DIY Complies with Lease Maintenance?
My 2021 330i XDrive is alerting me to replace the rear brake pads. Car has only 20k miles on it! - prices including dealerships go from $540-$680 to replace them!
My questions are: if I decide to do it myself, will that count as a completed required maintenance as per lease agreement or I have to do only at the dealership? How in the world a car just over a year old needs brake pads… never experienced that! this my 10th new BMW and even my previous M3 and M4 never an issue until like 50k miles. Thank you in advance

For the lease, they don't care how you get them done, but that they're done by the time the contract is up and done correctly (brakes actually work).
Your warranty may care whether or not an authorized service shop did the work
