No. The bracket (there are two) makes the caliper accept a 380mm rotor. There is one for 340mm calipers and one for the 370mm caliper. The 370 caliper is slapped onto the f8x without any extra bracket, but that's not possible on the f3x, hence the bracket.

I don't see the point. A larger rotor will dissipate more heat, but other than in a tracking situation that's really of no benefit. For better initial grab and stopping power you need larger pads to go along with the larger rotor.

there are two versions of the calipers....one for 340mm and one 370/380. i have 340.
but as seen on e90post (https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...postcount=2047) there is an adapter to drive 380mm rotos on the 340mm calipers. kern417 is providing them? |
