Tailgate Dumpster

I get the aerodynamics but christ I have never had a car more quickly accumulate dirt on rear end…

You are correct. If it’s any consolation, I’ve had 3 and 5 series tourings in addition to my X2 and X3 and they are all equally as bad.

Pretty normal for a SUV, the airflow is really dirty and turbulent coming off of the back of boxy SUV's. Causes the dirt/dust to swirl and tumble behind the vehicle and eventually collect on the back of the vehicle.

Mine is ceramic coated and its still dirty back there. Rest of the car stays pretty clean though.
