"Hey BMW" not working

The "hey bmw" summons command is no longer working on my 2019 X5. Is there a setting to enable it? It was working previously. It works if I push the talk button on the steering wheel

Try restarting iDrive and see if that brings it back. Here is the setting to enable it.

Just hold in the volume button until the screen goes blank and then it will reset itself and come back up.

As mentioned, press and hold the volume button in for about 30 seconds. I like to do it while driving so you can see the screen turning off and then you can let the button go.

If you reboot iDrive when idle or on standby (the infotainment screen is already off), you won't get visual feedback of the reboot but rather, mechanical feedback but it's subtle, so I agree it's easier to reboot iDrive while in drive-ready state or driving due to visual feedback
