Hello,

I have been facing this most stressful issue of Engine light coming on almost every time I drive long distance on highways. Dealers fix some thing every time and always asking me to watch for Engine light. Some time if I am lucky I may not see engine light in my next highway trip. Last week I was on highway almost every alternate day and (1) engine light came on day 1 (2) They fix the issue on day 2 (3) Engine light comes on day 3 (4) They fix the issue on Day 4 (5) Engine light comes on as soon as I take the car out of dealer's service room.

In short in last 4 years they fix my engine light at least 6 times and they have no clue why engine comes back every time again.

I am not sure if I am only unlucky one and having this issue.

Will hghly appreciate if anyone could please throw some light on this mind blowing and stressful issue.

What exactly did the dealer fix each time you took it in?

If it keeps coming back they haven't fixed anything. Get a code reader it's good to have.

What were the codes the dealer pulled?

It helps to know the fault codes and what keeps causing this CEL to keep coming on.
