G01 and Esys Newbie
Hi all.
I am about to try a bit of coding but haven't plugged into the car yet. Looking around, I see 'cheatsheets' mentioned but then they look like they're only for F series but not sure. When I plug in (and hopefully it works) is it obvious what I can change or does everything have really odd names? I've tried to find a guide to coding online and in these forums but not got anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Start with BimmerCode. You can do most of what you want there.
If there are specific things you'd like to do beyond that, get into E-Sys. Got it working with my G01, but you definitely need to know what you're doing. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1814782 There are also some decent YouTube videos out there that will take you through basic coding changes with E-Sys. |

BimmerCode is a paid-for app available for iOS and Android. It has a set of pre-made coding options that you can use (e.g., disable legal warnings). It also allows you to access some of the car's modules in "expert mode," where you can change individual parameters by hand. There are many E-sys guides online. For example, take a look here: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/c...sheets.983245/
