1/18 F90 M5 and M5 Competition Scale Miniature Models collection

Hi all,

I thought I would share a couple of quick photos of my 1/18 F90 M5 scale miniature model collection now that I have just unboxed my M5 Competition. Really pleased that they captured the Competition model as the LCI.

Looking forward to getting the M5 CS in a couple of months!

I've been looking for a black one with the black 706M wheels since I bought my car. Would love to know where you got these also! Love that they included this detail, even if only in Imola Red (I think?). Also, the CCBs on that and the MBB. Attentions to details look superb. Not at all like the cheap drugstore ones in the toy aisle.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice! I would also love to know the source. Interested in a green CS one.

I would love to have one of these as well, as I have one for all the other cars I have owned.

Wonder how easy it would be to buy that puppy (LCI M5C) and paint it Tanzanite. 🤔

My dealer included an M5 model with my car back in 2018 when I bought it. I thought it was the F90 model but it was the older version LOL. Nice quality model though. I've been waiting for the F90 model. Is this something the dealers have???

I did a search on the LCI M5C, and it seems it is only distributed by this company called GT Spirit. Not sure if that is their manufacturer or what, but I was not aware of anyone’s having made an LCI model yet, so good find OP!

That's correct - it's a resin model, so no moving parts, but the detail is really good. I have the same model as OP posted. Looks like the same company makes the CS model, too: https://livecarmodel.com/products/1-...car-model.html

Thanks all for the comments.

The Marina Bay Blue F90 M5 was released sometime ago (2019 I think) through BMW retailers so best to check with your local BMW retailer if they still have any stock left. The part number to quote is 80432454783 (it's been sold out in Europe for some time now).
If they do not, then best to try your local model store or try ebay.com.
This is a diecast version with doors that open.

The M5 Competition in Imola Red is a resin model (so nothing opens) and was made and released by GT Spirit. It was only released a few weeks ago so should still be readily available at your local model store or on eBay.com. The model code you need is GTS355.

The M5 CS is indeed made by GT Spirit too. Hopefully, it should be released in the next couple of months. The model code is GTS372.

There are no other colours planned to be released at this time.

Any idea why the Blue M5 is $600, a few other resin models are also over $500, but then the CS is $140? I don't understand.

I would imagine it's because the blue M5 has been sold out for sometime so sellers have popped the price up.

The M5 CS is not yet released so supply will be plentiful (hence the reasonable price for now).

The place seems intentionally difficult to reach. Just providing contacts for specific items. Tried sending them a message on Twitter (open DMs) to ask if there's any chance they'll make a CS with gold calipers. 😀 No reply so far…

If all you wish to do is paint the calipers, then you may wish to do it yourself since the wheels on most models can be removed relatively easily and you can pick up the paint from your local hobby store

I have made minor modifications to my models to add extra detail or in the case of the 1/18 F10 M5, change the wheels entirely to style 343M.

Hi all

I thought I would update this thread given that I have now had my 1/18 M5 CS for a couple of weeks now.

GT Spirit did an awesome job on it, although quality control has suffered ever so slightly with some glue residue showing through. But that's the nature of hand made models I guess.

I know it's not F90 related but I am also sharing a photo of a fantastic little miniature I picked up of the S85 engine.
