Two different headlights?!? 2022 X3

To bring you up to speed 2022 X3 was in an accident in August 2021, got it back in Feb 2022. It was held up in February because when they installed the right headlight it kept saying headlight malfunction. They said it was because the side maker module that controls the LED was bad. Well, since I got it back the headlights have never been right and they just looked odd at night. I had them re-aim the headlights and they said that the driver side was up to high and the passenger was too low. They only made it worse and just aim both too low. Well while I pulled hair out after driving at night one night. I noticed when I parked in front of a wall that I could see an amber light on the driver side but not on the passenger. I took a look around the car and realized the amber LED on the passenger side headlight was missing. So I started doing research and found out this may not be a USA spec headlight which is why the beam is different. I took it back to the body shop and they were so confused how it happened. However, I think someone must have known and just didn't say anything. I have included pics. Anyone know the real deal why one headlight has the LED and the other does not?

From the looks of it your beam pattern is way off. Like it's aimed for RHD vehicles.

That's what promoted all this and the discovery of the headlights not matching. I'm guessing the lens in passenger side is not US spec.

this could be a lawsuit in the works, having the wrong headlights pointed in the wrong direction is dangerous not only for you behind the vehicle but also for drivers in front of you. You can also blind oncoming traffic and cause an accident.

this needs to be address asap. One quick thing is do is look for the PN of the passenger headlight and see what that PN is to confirm if it's USA spec or a RHD spec light.

Looks like they put a RHD headlight from EU rather than the proper LHD NA headlight since in EU, sidemarkers are not mandatory.

They definitely need to swap it with the proper replacement headlight

I think you need to get the body shop in touch with the dealership too double check the part they ordered. Obviously one headlight is not correct. Person who installed it probably didn't notice it nor cared. Would make sense why you're having malfunctions.
