That means you got the spare tire kit. I'll buy it off you for $99. Well, its 2nd hand now

Was there a 4 in front of that? 😀
That, and the M brakes were the smartest additions

You must not detail your own cars. Worst design ever to get in and clean the wheel and caliper. Had the 846's on my 550 and that design alone was enough to steer me away from the 22's on my new M50. Not to mention the two trashed tires in less than a year with the 846's (thanks PA potholes). Look great but that design is the devil. Better tip your detail shop if you use one.

At some point in my life, I was into aftermarket wheels... Then I learned nothing could beat stock. The more expensive a vehicle and wheels are, the harder it is to beat the stock look.

Ehhh... I've seen some pretty awful stock wheels on some pretty expensive vehicles, lol. I think its more brand design language than how expensive a vehicle can be.

Aren't all BMW wheel designs hard to clean? I spend more time on the wheels than the rest of the car!

Actually it is not that bad with the right tools. I have these barrel brushes that make it super easy to clean behind the wheels and I have a micro fiber mitt that I use on the outside. All these micro fiber cleaning tools will not scratch anything and make cleaning my Ceramic Coated Wheels a breeze.

Just spend the 20 bucks and get the right tools to support the job. I can easily get behind the spokes of this wheel. The curve on the one micro fiber brush gets behind the spokes too but I can easily clean there with the hand mitt.

Anyway just sharing.

I did this as well with my last X3. Not only did they produce far far less dust, the dust was lighter in color so it was really hard to see even after it built up for a while. However, I found there was a trade off in that I needed to push quite a bit harder on the brake pedal to match the stopping power of the OEM pads. Mine were Akebono Euro ceramic. What did you go with and what is your experience in braking force?

Yeah I had Akebono on my E90 and I thought they were very good. Braking force has been outstanding on my X5 M50i using Bendix ceramics up front, Centric Posi Quiet in the rear and X3MC rotors on all corners. No noise and no dust either!

Thanks for that, I'll go have a look, which ones of each did you get as there are several to choose from?

I took a leap on the Bendix since no one here mentioned them. The PowerStop fronts shipped with all the ears broken off so I returned those and the Posi Quiets were on national back order. I used Rock Auto to get a list of possibilities.

Or you could use spray on, rinse off with a pressure washer. Some will never understand why we do this and rather just send their car through those grinders. I either leave the car dirty or hand wash myself and I love Adam's stuff too.

aye adams stuff is good .. I have recently moved to all Gyeon stuff as my rims and paint are coated with Gyeon "Flash" and "Rim" ceramic coatings. I also have what I consider the very best on my glass "Glassparency Windshield and Whole Car" glass kits. Amazing protection.
