Just curious if anyone has bought replacement tires through a BMW shop and then had to use the hazard warranty. Does every BMW dealership honor it or just the one selling you the tires? Do they make it easy or a PITA to get a tire repaired/replaced?

I typically get tires through Americas Tire/Discount and buy the certificates which always pay for themselves many times over during the lifetime of the tires. Just doing some cursory looking, it seems the cost for the 21" monstrosities will be competitive in pricing and their stipulated hazard guarantee adds to the option.

I'm a ways off from needing new tires, but a nail in the sidewall seems to be a fact of life these days.

I've had mine replaced and the advisor made sure to add the Hazard warranty and it absolutely came in handy. I moved to a new development and it seemed like there were nails on the road everywhere. I had about 5 tires replaced from nails that year.. Easy, Straightforward, no hassle.

I LOVE Americas Tires for pricing and service, but was surprised that my local dealership had competitive pricing that included their version of the certificates/road hazard. I would go with whichever shop is closest for rotation and balances.
