Add 1 quart sign?
Today i got a sign on the dash saying i need to + 1 quart of oil.
I got my car oil hanged with BMW oem 5-30 oil.. Do you know if i can top it off with other brand oil 5-30 such as pennzoil or mobil? Or is it not good to mix oil? Also if i got my oil change done at the dealer do they use 5-30 BMW oil? Thanks |

The BMW dealer will use BMW oil. I would suggest topping off with either the same oil, or a different BMW approved oil. Your owners manual should have a list of compatible oils.

Go back to the dealer and let them know.
They'll add a quart free of charge. If you don't want to do that then put in castrol 5 30. That's what they use.

Take it back to the dealer and let them top it off for you.BTW they use 5w30 BMW brand oil which is basically castrol european brand.

Other than the market it is typically sold within, and the changes in product label that go along with it...
Are there any differences between "US casrol synthetic 5w30" and "Euro casrol synthetic 5w30" ? -scheherazade |

I went to JMK at like 7 pm when they were all bout to close and told them i had a quart sign.
They simple said service is closed i needed to come back.. So i just asked them for a free quart of oil.. They gave me 3 bottles. LOL So i topped it off with 1 and took the two home.lol |
