Is that a single piston cast iron caliper on a carbon ceramic rotor?

You're talking the shape of the rear bumper? That it looks like it's pooping, or maybe having a baby? If that's it, I agree, it's ugly / dumb looking but I guess if you want to continue owning BMW's you have to get over it. And of course if the cars keep selling they (or at a minimum some folks here) will say it's evidence that people love it. At least judging by the grille discussions.

If you're talking about something else then - sorry for the change of subject. But that's a dumb bumper shape and I just had to say it.

i thought I only hated the front, but it turns out the rear is not much better.

maybe the side profile is ok? but i can't stand the different sized wheels and different profile tyres, also the front arch appears large while the rear wheel arch appears much smaller (probably for aero, front wheels still need to turn)

Yes, the rear bumper but I'm referring to the G series more broadly. I've moved on from BMW years ago so I'm already over it.

Consider also that around the same time the beaver tooth grill was launching Alfa Romeo launched the Quatrofoglio (spelling?) V6 twin turbo. IF ugliness sells cars nowadays to the brainwashed MK Ultra sleepwalking masses then German companies are gonna clean up. The problem is many of those same people work for the car makers. What's next fish gills and Guppy grills? And people say the C8 is ugly. I'll take a base C8 anyday over an M3/M4 and the wagon beast thingie.

The MB is overall much cleaner, but the Audi still has a bit of a hemorrhoid bumper. The Bimmer roofline is nicer though, especially where the hatch and rear window share the same angle. Benz rear window arcing down like that and not matching roof/hatch gives me R class vibes.

It's obviously a steel rotor. Carbon ceramic wouldn't have the machining marks, not to mention it doesn't look anything like a carbon ceramic rotor. F90 M5 and later all have sliding rear calipers, and they work fine because the rear isn't that critical.

Are you MFers blind or what? It's a steel rotor. Even if you didn't know what steel looks like, the caliper is red, not gold. Mercedes has moved to this rear setup also on many cars. It's clearly sufficient as the lap times show, and the M4 CSL still has the same single piston rear setup. I'll trust the engineers at Brembo.

It's weird that your name is G80M4 and you're criticizing a car for having an exhaust that hangs down just like the other G8x cars. Not to mention that no one ever looks at a car at that angle, nearly on the ground. If you take pics of a G80 or G82 it's not gonna look that much better.
