Base audio to HK audio systems

So my X3 2019 xDrive20d came with some very disappointing audio; base audio system.

So I managed to buy a complete HK wiring harness, subs and some speakers from another X3 2019 competition. The harness is a stand alone and just plugs into the main fuse box in the boot section, but it's a massive harness on it's own.

So I discovered that on the base audio system the subs has 4 pins and 4 wires. 2 for subs and 2 going to the front door speakers running on the same audio output channel from the HU.

The base line subs (more like sub samples) has got 4 wires 2 thick and 2 thin. Okay so that I understand 2 thick is for the subs and 2 thin wires goes to the front per side.

The baseline audio subs has markings which is positive and which is negative for the wiring. On the HK subs there is no marking

On the base audio sub the speaker is facing inwards and on the HK sub the speaker is facing outwards.

So which side is positive and which is negative on the HK subs?

Base audio subs with 4 wire pin. And markings on subs to illustrate which side is positive and which is negative.

The difference in base audio subs and HK subs is huge, like North to South difference.

So no marking on HK subs to show which pin is positive or negative terminal.

Anything with brown, or 2 colors is usually negative/ground in BMW.

Thanks for the feedback.

I see that there is a black and red stripe and a black and brown stripe wire.
