Ouch. Someone's new M3 in the neighborhood was repurposed for some tree removal and fire hydrant relocation. Just a reminder that doing twice the posted speed limit usually comes with consequences. And xDrive can't make up for lack of skill.

Probable driver excuse: "It was the tire pressure, not driver skill." Flying Ace

As a cyclist, I cringe seeing tire tracks like that. Hopefully this fun took place late at night with no one around.

Looks like too fast around that corner, to me. But, hey, what do I know?

First 2 photos look like a photoshop to me. Regardless, I adore these heart warming instances of aholes in their M cars, Dodge Challengers, etc losing control and wrecking their cars. You know they put these material things on such high pedestals too, it must feel absolutely horrible for them to see their babies ruined and know they can only look in the mirror.

It's unfortunate even if it's 100% driver fault.

And I too despise a hole drivers.

Today on nj turnpike a doge suv whatever was hauling a$$ weaving in and out of traffic. Caused a guy in a Cadillac to momentarily lose control in an attempt to avoid dumb azz

You're putting bad Karma out there for sure though

Wish for wisdom not tragedy

There's no photo showing the full extent of the curve but if that is the angle of curvature throughout, that is not 80 in a 40. The car can comfortably negotiate such a curve at 80 if the driver is good, the tires are good and actually high perf summer tires (instead of idiot All-Seasons). That looks more like 100 - 120.

And/or the driver panicked and braked hard looking at the ditch instead of looking where he wanted to go, applying constant throttle to avoid unsettling/unbalancing the car. Given the skid marks, driver probably ran out of skill and panic-braked before the car ran out of ability.

Here you go. No argument wrt capabilities of the car. Guy was just driving like an asshat.

Looks like there is a nice hump at the apex of the curve which would minimize traction when you needed the most at high-speeds.

I agree with the previous statement. These cars allow me to "safely" double the precautionary speed limits around curves (in perfect conditions)... This guy was at least in the low 100s.
