De Generes ex crashes into house in LA

Anne Heche an ex of Ellen de Generes crashed her Cooper S twice in Mar Vista, the second time into a house where it exploded destroying the house which she hit. Firefighters dragged her out alive with serious burns and a suspected spirits bottle with a red top was seen in the footwell.

Also in L.A. was the story of the drunken nurse careening through a red light at 100mph in a Mercedes. Cars burned and six people were killed.

I just saw that. She must have been trashed. They said first she plowed into the garage, tried to reverse out and then plowed into the house.

The speed she was going and going straight on at the T junction over the kerb which probably separated the wheels into the property, she is lucky to be alive probably scarred for life and in deep trouble with the law when she emerges from hospital. It's a miracle no one was in her way,I don't know if anyone was inside the property at the time of impact, I hope not.

I read someone was in another area of the house and was not injured. It’s sad. I agree she’ll be scarred for life. Not sure of her condition but she might not be lucky to be alive. Crashing and burning…..

A bit of skin grafting may fix that but she may spend time 'inside' for that after..dangerous driving is not tolerated in California I read.

New laws came into force in UK that carry long jail time for certain cases of dangerous driving that include DUI also.

We need stiff fines and long jail sentences everywhere. Next time someone dies because of a drunk driver it could be a person we know or even a family member.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw it. It's so crazy doesn't even seem real. I mean how high, drunk, nuts or all three do you have to be to do that. Not only run through THAT busy of an intersection with a red light, but somehow make it that far down the road at that speed without crashing before.
