Dinan Tronix X installed -quite disappointed :(
Spent some time over the weekend to install Armaspeed intake and Dinan Tronix X installed on my G82X and was quite disappointed on the outcome of Dinan.
Currently, I have Remus exhaust with Active Autowerke x pipe installed, expecting some moderate improvement with Dinan but hardly felt anything. Did follow through with all the instructions, no CEL and played around with different MAP, but in both "sport" and "racing" I hardly felt any increase in HP. Chose this due to the installation compare to JB4 but regretting it so much. with my JB4 installed on mini, there were definite power kicks but took Dinan over JB4 for simpler installation. Regretting it so much will likely go get JB4. Perhaps I'll check in with Dinan before changing the mod. what a waste of time |

not sure what it adds on the 93 octanes, 50-60hp at max. if so, it's merely 10% or less hp gain on 500hp. On my mini JCW which has 230hp, added another 60-70 hp, that's whopping 25%+ onto base, made crazy difference lol ~ going for few runs and see but likely, will get JB4 for swap |

I like RC because im not into hardware mods (DPs), fuels, etc so I like a plug and play and walk away item which RC serves me just right. We have a factual test between JB4 and RC on a grancoupe in the M8 section and the JB4 is ever so slightly faster apples to apples. Anything beyond the piggy alone and the JB is your choice.

I think that sometimes good tunes (to include piggies) have to be validated with a dyno sheet because the tune may deliver the power so smoothly that it almost feels like there was no improvement at all.
If I'm not mistaken, some of the earlier JB4 maps delivered a spike early in the tq/hp curve. I can't remember if they've smooth that out since then. But regardless, if I were to run e85, I'd go with a JB4+flexfuel sensor

While we on the comparison topic, has anyone done a Dragy test on two or more piggybacks for S58? Like, on the same car/road/conditions?
I always JB4 my BMWs but I'm never opposed to something that adds more power without a full flash. I know its a lot of work but it'd be kinda great if it was all in one post somewhere with equal conditions. |

But you are right, the power increase was there after doing LC and seeing the tire spin before hitting off. Previously, my x-comp never had the wheel spun off before taking off. I am gussing this is due to a power increase :P still trying to like Dinan but can't get over thinking to replace it with JB4. |
