How to enable EWS with engine & DME swap?

Is there a way to enable the EWS & CAS systems in the F31 while using the F10 DME? I did several searches to see if I could find anything. Apologies in advance if this has already been covered and I missed it. More detail if helpful: I'm working on an N57 engine (& DME) swap from an F10 into an F31 328dx wagon/estate. I had already bought a Powergate to enable remote tuning through a particular tuner, but the Powergate seems to require the EWS to be active vs. a simple EWS delete. I'm not sure how to get the EWS from the F31 in sync with the DME from the F10 donor car.
