Looking for recommendations for improving composure, getting the car to settle more quickly, taming bump steer especially mid corner and added high speed stability & confidence all well improving general day-day ride quality.
Having a Giulia QV in the same garage proves it's possible with what is IMHO one of the best chassis that I have ever driven. Sure it's put together with bandaids and banding wire and will ultimately lead to tears but it's just so planted and composed that's it's nearly impossible to upset this thing.
Appreciate any and all feedback.

Subscribing. I ordered a g80 to get a 6MT but otherwise would’ve ended up in a QV. Curious to hear more of your comparison (but don’t want to derail the thread).

The car is definitely too softly sprung, and has high body roll. It does rotate really well in the corners, but at the risk of whipping around on you if you get to throttle too abruptly on corner exit. The rear also dances under heavy braking, again, with too soft front axle. I think some quality coilovers with proper spring rates ought to do it.

I have been saying this for a long time. The car is too "soft" to be a proper track car. I'm gonna get heat for this but the f80 felt more "focused". I don't know why BMW felt the need to make the g80 more "accessible" but it suffers a bit for this despite how great of driving experience it has. It should be track first DD second

Rest assured IMHO the G80 M3 with a manual of course is one of if not the best daily drivers I have owned. Reminds me of a modern E39 M5.
Trouble is when I drive it back to back with the QV it lacks some compliance, composure and ultimately confidence when pushed.
Comparatively its easily upset by seemingly minor imperfections.
Whereas the QV you still feel everything but it never looses its composure.

I recall a Smoking Tire video with a white M2 that had been transformed by some suspension tweaks.
Below is link to video that contains the details, that I can't cut and paste!

How many people will buy a 80k track focused car? At that point the M3 would turn into a 100k plus car for it to make sense to produce. I would guess most enthusiasts on this board won't take their car to a track or can afford the risk and expense. Quite a few thought they were on a track and ended up on Instagram or utube in a way that didn't want to. Car drives and handles great now and if it doesn't you bought the wrong car.

Not only that, but the g8x is substantially faster than the top trim f8x on the ring.

It's a better track car out of the box Period.
