Tint Recommendation
Hey all - Looking to tint out this beauty here, but looking for some recommendations. Reside in FL.
Also wondering what % folks have done for the roof so it doesn't impede with the LED's. Appreciate the help - newbie. |

I don't like it too dark. I like to be able to see the road and surroundings at night. So I went with the following:
Windshield: Formula One Air Blue 80% Front driver/passenger door windows: Formula One Pinnacle 50% All other windows: Formula One Pinnacle 35% Roof: Formula One Pinnacle 35%. Anything darker basically blocks out the LED lights. This is what it looks like with 35% and the LED brightness set at max. |

There was a thread here about tint a few weeks ago where a number of people shared their opinions & experiences, including on the sunroof. My experience is that you need a light tint (like 70%) to not block the LEDs, I initially did 30 and had to switch because 30 blocked all the LED light.
The windshield and all door windows have >90% IR rejection from the factory, so you can use dyed tint on those to save some money. Unless they changed something on the LCI. For rear quarter windows & rear windshield & sunroof you should still use ceramic. |
