Powder coat wheels from dealer

Does anyone know how much dealer charge for powder coat? Was hoping to do it at dealer that way I won’t leave without a car while the wheel is getting done there but bmw dealer won’t give me price over the phone. Any info helps, thanks. I’m just trying to get one of my wheel powder coated.

They'll probably charge way to much in my opinion. I'd go with an independent place. Don't know about rates where you're at, but I have place near Chicago and they're about $100 bucks a wheel or somewhere about that.

My guy charges about ~$150 per wheel, but that's just the powder coat job and it's tough to match existing color/finish. Price does not include the removal and reinstall of the tire.

Some dealers offer onsite, same day wheel repair - where they fix curb rash and other imperfections without removing the tire. That's about $200 per wheel.

Not for my X3, but had this done for my wife's X7 thru the dealer after we took delivery. It was ~$800 and took about a week. But they did give us an X5 while we waited for the work to be done.

more expensive than getting it done yourself. usually all body work or wheel refinishing is done third party so the dealership will upcharge on top of what the actual powder coating shop will charge.

Only reason I wanna get it done through dealer is for the rental

u can get it done and get a rental for probably cheaper

$200/wheel sounds reasonable for a dealer.

I hear all the comments about cheaper, and while I agree, I also understand you want the convenience. You do you. Dropping off your car at the powder coater (if an option, otherwise got to remove the wheels and bring them to shop, then getting a rental and all that stuff is not worth my time either. I just do it for the fun of it and get a break from work...lol
