320d Power Loss Possibly Inlet Manifold Issue

I have an issue with my 10' E90 320d, I believe the car has the N47 engine.

The car has recently experienced an intermittent loss of power which seems to present itself more when the car is warm and in higher gears (1st and 2nd seem to be ok).

When there is a loss of power it is fairly serious (ie. max speed of 40mph possible).

I have taken it to the local BMW specialist (not a dealer) and they gave the following diagnosis.

- Inlet manifold require replacing due to hole in it

- Turbo needs replacing, suspected actuator issue, although they believe this to be internal to the turbo as say they could see the actuator moving

- Glow plug module requires replacing

So the question I have is does this sounds like an accurate diagnosis?

I am surprised that the turbo issue and the inlet manifold issue have occurred at the same time as one another (I don't see how they could be related).

I also find the intermittent nature of the fault to be strange, possibly this is related to temperature of the engine/engine bay and the ECU is derating the power as a result of the temp + issue.

Thoughts very welcome as the car is currently not usable and given the proposed £1600 bill for what is a £2500 car it could be a write-off.
