Urgent help needed

So I bought custom wheels in 22" size with 10.5 and 11.5 width

Subsequent to that I bought 285/35/22 and 315/30/22 Michelin pilot sport 4S tires to go with it. The rears have Load rating of 107Y and per my stock setup as it is right now is 275/45/20 with tears at 110H load rating. Went to Americas tire to get it installed and the guy tells me that fronts are ok but he can't install the rears because the load rating should be 110 and it is 107 on the Michelins. He said that my car didn't come with the 22 set up so he can't install them for safety reasons due to load rating being 107 instead of 110. Of my current tires came with 107 then he would be able to install them but in this case he can't.

There is another shop that will install it for me but what I would like to know is that is it really a safety issue or can I get away with 107 rears when my current tires are 110? Of course the size on the current Va what I want to install is different in diameter and width as mentioned above.

Please any suggestions/experience sharing/recommendations are needed are welcome ASAP.

Everything I'm reading is saying that it's not a good idea to go lower. However, I think the OE 22" Continentals are 107y in the rears, 104Y in the front. I'll be able to double check later tonight or maybe someone can chime in sooner.

Yes oem 22's are 104y in the front and 107y in the rears and that is why I opted for this setup.

Just my opinion but I would assume that you would be ok. If the OE 22s have 107 for the rears, there should be no reason why you can't do the same. You're still within factory specs.

I just noticed your wheels are wider than the OE 22s so the tires will be a bit more stretched. I'm not sure how or if this will affect the load rating.

I had the same issue with americas tire. If you got a les Schwab, they installed mine, and mentioned that it should be no issue. I've had mine for a year now, no issues on the rears.

No the rears are ok because Michelin advertises on their website as 10.5 min and 11.5 max width for 315/30/22 so i am good
