Engine fault code (1C0001) keep coming up?

Hi all, have no check engine light, but I decided to check codes with MHD app and noticed this code:

1C0001 - Oil-pressure control: Pressure variations.

This is the second time it has came up. Car works fine.

Anyone have any insights what the issue is?

Thanks

I had the same issue, It was a recall with my car with main bearing shell. I got a full motor replacement and took about 3 months at a dealership.

Thanks for the information. Good to know. The code came back up again after a long time.
Will have the dealer look into it. Looks like there is a possibility folks might be getting this code but unaware as it does not throw a check engine light. You have to ready your DME to get the codes

update: one of the members told me this was related to moving the car while the engine was off. after he stopped doing that the code went away

i suspect that this is my case as well, as I am manual I often roll my car out of the garage down the driveway without turning on the ignition. I cleared the code and stopped rolling my car, and am now reading my codes once a week so far it hasn't popped up again

In my case it was a bad oil pressure sensor... At 1800 miles.

Is that to sneak out for a drive without anyone knowing you’ve left?

no, mainly for washing my car in the driveway without needing to wake up the whole neighborhood

Demand a new engine, I wouldn’t feel comfortable knowing that damage might have already occurred.
