Connecting Kids iPads to WiFi - help!
Hey y'all. I just got my m60i and love it, but am having issues getting a Wi-Fi signal to the kids iPads. I have connected the iPads to the vehicle and the vehicle is picking up their iPads - also their devices are picking up the BMW signal. The issue is there is NO connection. Please help! Thank you.

First thing you want to do if you haven't already is create an account and add your vehicle to https://mygarage.bmwusa.com/
Once you do that, you can login and click your vehicle, scroll down on the left to the BMW ConnectedDive section and copy your Vehicle Phone Number. Then go to: https://myvehicle.att.com/ From there you can select BMW and then sign up for a trial or purchase a plan based on your needs. |

Instructions for that are here then. Should be a FAQ or you can always call BMW connected care customer service.

Is T-Mobile the only option for X7 WiFi, or can you add the vehicle to your cellphone plan that may be with another provider?

So the only way to use the vehicle internet is to have a T mobile cell phone? That seems short sided.

This is why the BMW solution seems half-assed. No one uses it. |

I'm on Android (Google Fi for service), and have unlimited data, so not really interested in car wifi for running personal devices.
Just wondering how remote (phone) access for lock/unlock/start, location detection, etc. services works or is the cellular service needed for all that included for free? |

To confirm, new models are only T-Mobile. You don't need a T-mobile phone. You get three months free with the car if it's new, then you pay around $20 a month for the plan for your car. We just hotspot on our phones.
