As the subject states has anyone gone 19s? what's the difference between m3 and x3m brakes? This would be for weight and comfort

I've seen a couple pop up in the Facebook group. It will ultimately depend on the barrel design of the wheel. You'll have 1-3mm of clearance from caliper to barrel.

The M3 uses a different caliper shape and 380mm rotors which allows some 18s to even fit. X3M is 395mm rotors.

interesting stuff so do majority of 19s fit? I would hate to get wheels that don't fit.

Unfortunately it's going to be a gamble. I would argue most wont work. Companies that design the barrel for maximum clearance likely will but there is no guarantee. Apex, Konig, Titan7, Neuspeed, BC Forged, Volk, Rays etc are on the likely side.

I ran into this problem on my last car when I went to a Brembo BBK. Almost all 19s I tried didn't clear the barrel aside from Neuspeed RSe102 which had like 1.5mm clearance haha.

I'm very confident in saying those will not work on the front. My buddy ran a set of S77s in 20s and the clearance was crazy tight. Weld caters to the crowds that run small brakes so they don't take into account maximum barrel clearance.

Any real benefit to it besides minimal weight savings and maybe cheaper tires vs a 20"?

comfort plays a role aswell. more tire means more flex which is less harsh on the drive train aswell. also hitting potholes on nyc might not blow up my rim lol
