I noticed that when a text message come in the car alerts me and reads me the message, but when I go back to the message it will not read it a second time? It that correct?

If there's a new message from a contact and you click on the contact, CarPlay will read it. Otherwise if you click a contact in the messages list at any time it will prompt to send a new message.

There is really no functionality that allows you to browse individual messages. You can only click on individual conversations.

You can ask Siri to read you the last message from X and it will do it, but there’s no way in the GUI to do so.

I'm now on my third car with CarPlay and I just learned something new! I've wanted a way to do that, especially when my watch "reads" the message when I shift my wrist but I want to hear it - as I need my reading glasses to read it on my watch!

Thanks!

I found out yesterday you can add the mybmw as a widget on iOS. Pretty nifty shortcut:

I've really enjoyed the iPhone integration with my iX. The digital pass system is excellent. Only wish is being able to refine the lock/unlock with geofencing.

I had low expectations as I didn't think the Germans were strong on the techie side like Tesla. VW has gotten a lot of bad reviews on their lack of ID4 support. Then there's Deustche raking Audi over the coals here.

Sweet! Very nice! Here's hoping they go one step further and allow it to be a home screen widget.

No. I meant on the screen with the date that now supports a (very) limited set of widgets.

But having it as a widget alone is awesome!

Ah the Lock Screen. Yeah I don't see any widgets available for Lock Screen that are interactive. Maybe they want you to unlock the phone before performing actions.
