Clicking / squeaking noise from stock suspension

I've had my G82 for 2 weeks now and I just noticed there's clicking and squeaking noise from the suspension. There's clicking and squeaking from the rear suspension when braking and accelerating and a ticking sound from the front suspension whenever I lock the steering wheel. My break in service is coming up soon and I'll bring it up to my SA then. Just wondering what the possible causes. Thoughts?

Hey, did you ever figure out what was going on with your suspension? I am noticing soft clicking/creaking in my front suspension when I go over bumps or accelerate at low speeds

Seems to happen when the nose is on a rebound/lift, when the springs are in tension

Call your service rep and ask him about this BWM SIB.

BMW has identified certain tie rods that are to blame for clicking sounds and will swap them out.

6800 miles and had the same complaint. It is this SB as worm stated. New tie rods ordered. 1 week turn around.
I don’t understand how this issue is the same issues other cars like the 230i or 330i have the same issue when the tie rods are not the same.

“When turning the steering wheel while stationary or when driving on uneven roads; cracking, creaking, or knocking noises may be heard. See attached example sound videos V32 01 23 and V32 02 23. The breakaway torque in the thrust bearing of the tie rod is too high. Replace one or both tie rod assemblies”.

I am getting clicking when I back up or move forward slowly and then step on the brakes. Did you experience anything like this?

Something to know...

I am personal friends with my dealers shop foreman. He will do this service for me no problem. BUT... I must return my car to stock in order to get it done. That part sucks. So Ive lived with it. I assume I will go back to stock (lowered on HAS) to trade in the car before I go back to stock just to fix the clicking.

Please post back if the new tie rods fox the issue.
I’m lowered on springs so a little worried about getting this covered.

I am still awaiting the parts. They said 2 weeks.

Loosening the bolt might work but they are replacing the assembly on both sides because of the potential for damage that might have occurred. I am still in off-road mode with plans for springs. This came luckily before I did that. You know BMW would blame me for the issue. I do not have time for that shit.

That's a different thing.
Sounds like it's just the brake pads shifting, which is completely normal.

Is this a thing? Had no idea this occurs...esp when they were so tight too get in. (I'm running aftermarket ones)

Definitely a thing, and yes it shifts ever so slightly but enough to produce a clunk. Especially likely with aftermarket pads.
Nothing to worry about.

2023 M4 here. Pretty bad I must say. Pick up the car from the dealer. Then, The very first speed bump already made clicking noise. I can feel it in the steering wheel, too. Now I’m on KW V3 coilover and the clicking is getting more frequent and louder. Made an appointment this week. We’ll see what he has to say. I’ll report back here

Hey y'all. Experiencing similar symptoms. There is a clunking noise and I can feel in steering wheel over uneven terrain/sometimes smooth road. Turning/backing up & applying sharp brake pressure when going slow all bring out symptoms... just not consistently. I've gone to all my local dealers and they told me theres nothing wrong with the car, they did the same with my f80 steering issues. I'm going to dealer where I purchased the car that is 2hrs away. Is there anything I can do to bring out symptoms? Does anyone know if the SIB is still in effect? IF they bone me on this repair, i'm going to the aftermarket tierod route, has anyone used SPL tierods? Thanks.

The SIB is ALWAYS in effect as long as your car is in the designated VIN range. For this one I don't see it as being VIN specific unless there is a missing page.

Edit, here is the entire TSB:

https://www.tsbsearch.com/BMW/SI-B32-01-23

Looks like the cutoff is MY 2023 although that could be because it was from March of this year before the '24's were out.
