Is the front suspension geometry compromised on the rear wheel drive base car, because they wanted to accommodate front drive axles in the competition version?
In other words, are all the suspension components and geometry the same between rear wheel drive and all wheel drive models? If not does anybody have information pertaining to RWD front suspension only? Interested in the comparison IF they are different. From all that I've seen they're just the same. Perhaps I am mistaken.

In terms of suspension, I'm going to say there's no difference at all. But you'll feel the difference when you drive the RWD vs AWD due to the weight and the fact that the same suspension needs to work with more weight. In the photo, you can see the hole next to the 1 for the drive shafts.

Yes that's what I suspected. I'm sure it's still a very lightweight set up. I guess I just wish that the RWD front set up was a bit more bespoke.
Next chance I get, I will look under my car
