NEVER reset the transmission adaptations unless you replace hard parts (like a full transmission rebuild with new clutches, plates, bushings, seals, etc..).

The transmission will adjust on it's own if it needs to....that's the whole point of the adaptations. Back when I did a full service on my transmission and also replaced all the shift solenoids....I didn't reset the adaptations. And guess what, after a few hundred miles of driving, the adaptations changed, because the transmission adjusted them. There is a reason why XHP, ZF, and people that special in the ZF transmissions tell you not to reset them.

Resetting everything to factory new default settings....without having factory new parts, is a horrible idea.

Not to mention the extremely long and tedious relearn procedure that you need to go through in order to get the transmission to shirt good again.

Never reset the adaptations.....
