Most folks on the 22 and 23" summer tires are getting around 8k-12k miles out of a set. Few lucky ones are getting 15k-20k. The all season 21" run flat are only seeing 20k-25k with a few lucky souls getting a bit over 30k.

These cost about $1k each on tirerack. Would suck to spend ~$4500 each year on tires. Any recommendations for a longer lasting tire that still has good performance and treadwear for this heavy suv? |

8k-12k is the range and you will pay $4k a year to replace unless you hv other vehicles and the XB7 is not your daily driver. The X7’s are very heavy and will burn through most tires fairly quicker than other vehicles and considerably worse for those with a heavy foot.
I tried to build my X7 with 22” wheels and my sales guy said he has customers coming in after six months upset because their tires are toast. With 22” wheels, you hv some options but the 23” is such a weird size custom order tire. Almost guaranteed to not be in stock anywhere local so be prepared to wait for delivery if you damage a 23” tire. I’m tryin to upgrade to get the LCI 2023 new 23” wheels. I know it will be expensive but I hv the 21” oem, 22” oem to help offset running through them so fast. |

You want tires that will last longer? Get 21" rims with all season tires, or 22" square setup with smaller all season (non OEM size). |

I just swapped out the 22” PZero summers with 21” Bridgestone AS RFT for the winter. At 7k miles fronts are 8/32 and rears 7/32 so around half way used up. Mostly local driving with around 2,500 highway miles driving to NC and around the Blue Ridge.
I’ll probably need to get new Pirellis after next year’s swap back to the 21” AS at this rate. |

My biggest mistake was not getting the spare for $150 at the time of ordering. That and getting stuck with the HiFi stereo but that’s a whole other thread. |

You could potentially downsize to the 23” option on the regular 2023 M60i. They’re still summer Pirellis, but are “only” $600-700 per tire. It’s all because BMW picked an unusual size. The similar (but taller sidewall) 23 on the Mercedes’ GLS has several options, including an all season I think, and is cheaper.

Can read over on the X5M/X6M (F95/F96) about the Pirelli lottery vs. Getting Michelin PS4+'s. PS4+ seems to be grippier and last about 5k more miles. General Consensus is the PZero wears faster and is the worse tire in the size.

But unfortunately the PS4 series is not available in any of the staggered 22”+ factory sizes for the X7. It is one of the options in the Merc GLS size I mentioned earlier, though.

I have 2022 X50i, just went for the 1st maintenance. At 9K miles the rear tires are almost ready to be changed out. So the most i may get is may be 11K miles. They are similar size as yours staggered summer performance tires. I don't even push the car too much. I'm considering square all season. But I have to look for run-flat. Don't have spare tire.

The "regular" 23-inch option on the M60i uses 275/35r23 and 315/30r23 instead of Alpina's 285/35r23 and 325/30r23. Slightly narrower and slightly smaller rolling diameter, but not by much. And since it's a standard size on a different version of the X7, it might even be in the onboard tire selections so your speedometer stays accurate. And roughly half the price (if you can find them - the Alpina size is arguably easier to find at the moment).

Our 21" Bridgestone Alenza AS Sport run flat REARS were toast (inner wedges were nearly bald) at 19k miles. FRONTS still had about 6/32 left at that time.
But to keep things all equal for the XDrive, replaced all 4 tires at 19,200 miles for about $2,000 including shipping from TireRack and mounting.
