New Drag Record Torque Target Map!!!!
11.84 AT 117.6
MODS: Procede STG 3 race map: Boost 17psi AA intercooler AA exhaust RR catless dp's K&N twin intakes Hoosier Drag Radials: 11psi MS 109 gas TIME SLIPS ADDED: Well I took the long drive out to Sacramento to see how my car would do. Shiv come out there and we put the new STG 3 map on my car and let it rip. My previous times were 12.3 at 115. The reason for such a vast improvement was because I was running leaded gas in the past and so I changed out my O2 sensors and put in MS109, I also had about 200lbs in stereo equipment that I finally took out. First run was 12.1 at 117 and all other runs stayed very consistent. I never went above 12.1x!!! My MPH varied due to cooling down times they ranged from 115 to 117+ Traction was not so great out there I found that Sac Raceway is not well prepped. I do all my runs at Famoso Raceway and that track is much better. And this was all done with out an LSD. I couldnt manage better than a 1.76 60' all day. The LSD would put my car in a mid 11 easy with decent traction. It was a great day there were some Mercedes E55's that were in the 11's also. What this shows is that a tuner's time can be matched as well as beaten The car responded to the STG 3 map very well, all my previous runs before today didnt match the feeling as well as the times. So to conclude I am very pleased now having beaten Shiv's record and it is just a simple recipe to follow to get in the 11's... Fully catless exhaust Intercooler DR's and MS 109 And I cant forget the tune Before this I thought the tuners would always be the fastest but with just the torque target race tune and supporting mods the car is capable of an 11 second pass.

Thanks! It just really shows how far along the tuning platform has come along.

They will be up later. The 60' on the recored pass was only a 1.8x and this is done with out an LSD.
Very impressive for just a simple set up

Yeah...eagerly awaiting the new stage 1 TT non-doomsday v3 map.
A couple questions... 1. Was this with Shiv's new stage 3TT non-doomsday v3 map or the new stage 3 TT doomsday map? 2. What were some of the other cars running this evening for comparison purposes? Any other 335i's out there as well?

It looks like you are one of the first (non tuners) with "the full setup" of intercooler, full exhaust, intakes and tune to make what sounds like repeatable 11sec runs. Scan the slips when you get a moment and enjoy your time on top while it lasts.

It is a long drive to Sacramento. You can't be home already are you? Those are some great ETs and Traps. Sacramento traction is hit or miss. Last time I went there I had to deal with 4-5mph headwind. My luck. Today the Sacramento weather report said it was 47-50F and there was a tail wind of 12-14mph! Is that true?? Does anyone have any idea how a 16mph wind speed differential will affect your trap speeds? I wonder if there is formula.
But again, great run. I really believe those Hoosier Drag radials are a big improvement over my unstable set up. (I can't run below 18psi without the car swaying excessively).

Other cars were running decent... Traction was the main issue as a lot of spinning was going on. There was one other 335i he ran 13.3x at 109 Im guessing pretty stock The E55 Mercedes were the most impressive there was one there running 11.7's at well over 120...

The other 335i (mmmotornutz) who ran 13.4 sec. @ 108mph was a JB3 guy; from N54Tech.com...
mmmotornutz Junior Member Posts: 195 Join Date: May 2008 Location: Dublin Car: 335i Tuner: BMS Default My day at Sac Raceway - Today, 07:21 PM I NEED TIRES!!! Forget the IC, ET Streets Radial will be my next mod! Map 7 just spun 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. I can only 1/4 throttle first, half throttle 2nd and floor 3rd towards the end. I can't even launch beyond 1500 rpm. I only have JB3 1.2b - no other mods. I ran straight 100 octane. The best I could muster w/ no traction was 13.4 @ 108mph w/ 2.3 60'. A lot of room for improvement if I had traction. If only I could run a 1.7 60', the car should be deep in the 12s w/ a higher trap. All in all Map 7 is meaner than JB3 1.0 when I ran 13.0 @ 107mph w/ a 2.0 60'. I tried Map 6 to see if I can get better times, no luck. It was fun. I didn't beat my personal record but next time when I have tires. I saw a Vishnu car run 11.81 @ 117mph. But, naturally, Terry is salivating to try to beat your record ... Oh! thanks
Is this more indicative of the JB3? With proper tires he has to be able to pick up 9 mph and 1.4 seconds to match HotRods tune and gas only trap....
